Anatomy, Biochemistry, Microbiology/ Immunology, Pathology,
Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Physiology BioStatistics., Behavioral

QUALIFICATIONS FOR TEACHING STAFF
POSITIONS:
TUTORIAL ASSISTANT
a) Bachelor Degree (First or Upper Second Class) with minimum GPA of 3.5 or a B+ grade in the relevant subject for unclassified degree, or
b) BPharm, MO or MBBS degree with a minimum GPA of 3.5.
2.
ASSISTANTLECTURER
BA BSc, BPharm, MO/M13BS or BVM degree with GPA of 3.5 and a Master Degree in the relevant subject with a GPA of 4.0, or
Where the Master degree is the first degree, then a Master Degree with a GPA of 4.0
3. LECTURER
Basic Science Subjects in Medicine
a) Requirements as for Assistant Lecturer and PhD Degree with a Master Degree at 4.0 GPA, or
b) Where the PhD was obtained on upgrading a Master Degree, then requirements as for Tutorial Assistant and a PhD Degree in the relevant subject.
c) Where the PhD was obtained on the basis of the Master degree without a Bachelor Degree, then requirements as for Assistant Lecturer and PhD Degree. .
Clinical Subjects
a) MD/MBBS with a GPA of 3.5 and MMed degree or its equivalent (MD/MS, etc.) with a GPA of 4.0 or PhD degree in the relevant subject from a TCU recognized University
4. SENIOR LECTURER
Requirements For lecturer, both in basic science and clinical subjects and the following:
a) Publications which, on assessment, produce 5 points.
b) Teaching, research and public service experience of not less than three years on attaining the qualifications of lecturer. .
5. Associate Professor
Requirements for Senior Lecturer, in basic science and clinical subjects and the following:
a) Publications which, on assessment, produce 7 points.
b) Teaching, research and public service experience of not less than three years on attaining the qualifications of Senior Lecturer.
6. Professor
Requirement as for Associate Professor and the following:
a) Publications which, 01) assessment, produce 12 points.
b) Teaching, research and public service experience of not less than three years on attaining the qualifications of Associate Professor.

Professor 5,700,000- 6,220,000
Senior Lecturer 4,700,000- 5,200,000
Asst. Lecturer 2,200,000-2,900,000
Senior Prosector 1,200,000- 1,600,000
Assoc. Professor 5,200,000- 5,700,00.0
Lecturer 4,200,000-4,700,000
Tutorial Assistant 1,430,000-1,670,000
